How to use it

  1. Copy data with headers from Excel, WPS or Google Sheets and paste it into the data box.
  2. Choose a chart type and edit the title, axes, legend and colours; the preview updates as you type.
  3. Download PNG or SVG, or copy the image straight into PowerPoint, Word or a chat.

Data format example

Copying from a spreadsheet gives this format, with tabs between columns:

Frequently asked questions

How do I bring in data from Excel?

Select the range including headers in Excel, WPS or Google Sheets, copy and paste it into the data box; tabs are detected automatically, and CSV or comma- or semicolon-separated text works too. Thousands separators, currency symbols and percent signs are removed.

Is there a watermark? Can I put it in PowerPoint?

No watermark. PNG exports at twice the chosen size and SVG is vector, so both stay sharp in PowerPoint, Word or print; you can also copy the image and paste it directly.

Is my data uploaded?

No. Data is parsed and drawn in your browser. A share link carries the data after the # in the URL, which is never sent to the server; only people with the link can see it.

Which chart fits my data?

Use a bar chart to compare categories, a line chart for change over time, a pie chart for parts of a whole (ideally six slices or fewer), a scatter plot to see whether two measures move together and a histogram for the distribution of one set of values.

Chart maker practical guide and common questions

What does a Chart maker do?

Detects tabs, commas, semicolons and header rows and strips thousands separators, currency symbols and percent signs; all five chart types share one dataset, so switching needs no re-paste. PNG at double resolution and vector SVG.

Who is this for, and when is it useful?

Sales, operations, finance staff and students who need a chart from Excel data quickly without signing up to a design platform.

How do I use this Chart maker?

Paste data with headers from a spreadsheet, choose bar, line, pie, scatter or histogram, edit the title and colours, then download PNG or SVG or copy the image.

How should I interpret the results?

Charts are drawn in the browser by Apache ECharts; data over about 6,000 characters cannot go into a share link, so download the image or share the table.

Where is the work performed, and which services receive data?

Table data is parsed and drawn in your browser and never uploaded; data in a share link never passes through the server.
