How to use it
- Put categories in the first column and one or two numeric columns after it, such as last year and this year.
- With two numeric columns, tick Connect for a dumbbell chart; the longer the line, the bigger the change.
- With many categories, sort largest first to spot the leaders.

Frequently asked questions
How do I bring in data from Excel?
Select the range including headers in Excel, WPS or Google Sheets, copy and paste it into the data box; tabs are detected automatically, and CSV or comma- or semicolon-separated text works too. Thousands separators, currency symbols and percent signs are removed.
Is there a watermark? Can I put it in PowerPoint?
No watermark. PNG exports at twice the chosen size and SVG is vector, so both stay sharp in PowerPoint, Word or print; you can also copy the image and paste it directly.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Data is parsed and drawn in your browser. A share link carries the data after the # in the URL, which is never sent to the server; only people with the link can see it.
How is a dot plot different from a bar chart?
A dot plot marks each value with a dot and need not start at zero, so close values across many categories are easier to compare; joining two series with a line (a dumbbell chart) makes the length of the line the size of the change.
