How to use it
- Three columns: source, target and amount, one flow per row.
- Use a target name again as the next source to chain stages, such as inquiries → quotes → orders.
- Hover a node to highlight its flows; drag nodes to adjust positions before exporting.
Data format example
Copying from a spreadsheet gives this format, with tabs between columns:
From To Leads Google search Inquiries 120 Inquiries Quoted 165 Quoted Orders 28
Frequently asked questions
How do I bring in data from Excel?
Select the range including headers in Excel, WPS or Google Sheets, copy and paste it into the data box; tabs are detected automatically, and CSV or comma- or semicolon-separated text works too. Thousands separators, currency symbols and percent signs are removed.
Is there a watermark? Can I put it in PowerPoint?
No watermark. PNG exports at twice the chosen size and SVG is vector, so both stay sharp in PowerPoint, Word or print; you can also copy the image and paste it directly.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Data is parsed and drawn in your browser. A share link carries the data after the # in the URL, which is never sent to the server; only people with the link can see it.
How do I prepare Sankey data?
One flow per row: source, target and amount, such as "Google search → Inquiries 120" and "Inquiries → Quoted 165". The same name in different rows becomes one node, multiple stages are laid out automatically and repeated rows are added together.
Why does it say the flows form a loop?
A Sankey diagram flows one way, so a loop such as A → B → A cannot be drawn. Rename the returning end, for example "Existing customers (repeat)", and it will display.
