How to use it

  1. Paste text to count words automatically, or switch to "Words with weights" to set each word's size yourself.
  2. Choose a shape, colours, font and orientation, or upload an icon as the outline.
  3. Use "Shuffle layout" until you like it, then download PNG or SVG.

What it is good for

  • Turn the frequent words in reviews, surveys or inquiries into one picture for reports and proposals.
  • Paste search volumes from a keyword planner export to draw a keyword cloud.
  • Make cards, posters, team walls and social media images.

How the layout works

Words are ordered by count or weight and sized on a square-root scale so the top word does not dominate. Each word spirals out from the centre of the shape looking for space, checked against the real letter shapes, so small words fill gaps between large ones.

Frequently asked questions

Does the word cloud support Chinese?

Yes. Chinese text is split into words with the browser's built-in segmenter and common function words are removed; mixed Chinese and English text is counted together, using your system's Chinese fonts.

Can I make a heart, circle or custom shape?

Yes. Rectangle, circle, heart, cloud, star, diamond, triangle and speech bubble are built in, or upload a PNG or SVG icon: the opaque or dark part becomes the shape. The image is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Can I use the image commercially? Is there a watermark?

There is no watermark. PNG exports at twice the resolution and SVG is vector, so it stays sharp in print. The words are your own; check you may use the text and fonts. The tool claims no rights over your content.

Why are some words missing from the cloud?

When the canvas or shape is small and there are many words, the smallest ones may not fit; the page shows how many were placed. A larger canvas, fewer words or mixed horizontal and vertical text fits more.

Word art generator practical guide and common questions

What does a Word art generator do?

Bigger weights mean bigger words, with slight tilt or random angles and transparent backgrounds for posters and cards; uploaded images are turned into outlines in the browser only.

Who is this for, and when is it useful?

Designers and office teams arranging greetings, team values or "thank you" in many languages into a heart, star or brand icon shape.

How do I use this Word art generator?

Enter words and weights, pick a heart, star or other shape or upload an icon outline, adjust colours and angles and export a high-resolution image.

How should I interpret the results?

Outline images need a clear subject: transparent PNGs use the opaque area and white-background images the dark area; busy photos do not work well.

Where is the work performed, and which services receive data?

Words, weights and outline images are processed only in your browser, and exports carry no watermark.
