How to use Dimensional Weight and Shipping Calculator
- Enter single-box dimensions, gross weight, and box count, or fill in 6 columns in the multi-box CSV packing list.
- Select unit, divisor, per-box rounding, minimum weight, and unit rates according to carrier contract rules.
- View itemized box charges and totals, download CSV, and cross-check surcharges like fuel, remote areas, and customs duties.
Try a concrete example
A 40×30×20cm box weighing 3kg with divisor 6000 and 0.5kg rounding has 4kg billable weight. Ten such boxes total 40kg.
How to interpret results
Dimensions are converted to cm and weights to kg. Each box uses the greatest of actual, dimensional and minimum weight, rounded up by the chosen increment, then multiplied by quantity. Freight uses the entered per-kg price plus shipment surcharge. Contract-specific rules are not inferred.
Frequently asked questions
How to fill in the multi-box CSV?
Header name, length, width, height, weight, quantity supported. Wrap names containing commas in double quotes. Maximum 500 rows; carton quantity must be a positive integer.
Must the divisor be 6000?
No. It is determined by shipping products and contracts; sample values should not be treated as a universal standard.
Why can't I just sum the weights and then round up?
Box-by-box billing takes the maximum value for each box and rounds up individually before totaling. If your contract specifies total shipment rounding, please verify separately.
