    Formula and method

    US liquid: 1 gal = 231 in³ = 3.785411784 L. Imperial: 1 gal = 4.54609 L. L/min = GPM × litres per gallon; GPM = L/min ÷ litres per gallon; m³/h = L/min × 0.06.

    Worked example

    10 US GPM = 37.85411784 L/min; 10 Imperial GPM = 45.4609 L/min.

    Assumptions and limits

    • Zero flow is supported. Negative, blank and nonnumeric input is rejected.
    • This converts volumetric flow units only; it does not adjust temperature, pressure or density, or convert to mass flow or standard-condition flow.
    • US dry gallons are not supported. Input and output refer to the same operating conditions.

    Frequently asked questions

How many L/min is 1 GPM?

One US liquid GPM is 3.785411784 L/min; one Imperial GPM is 4.54609 L/min. Check which gallon definition the specification uses.

Can I convert from L/min to GPM?

Yes. Choose L/min → GPM, enter the value in litres per minute, and select the required gallon definition.

    When is this useful?

    10 US GPM = 37.85411784 L/min; 10 Imperial GPM = 45.4609 L/min.

How do I enter the inputs?

Enter the inputs for GPM to LPM Converter: Input flow in the selected direction, Conversion direction, Gallon definition. Calculate, check the units and assumptions, then copy or download the results.

How should I interpret the results?

Zero flow is supported. Negative, blank and nonnumeric input is rejected. This converts volumetric flow units only; it does not adjust temperature, pressure or density, or convert to mass flow or standard-condition flow. US dry gallons are not supported. Input and output refer to the same operating conditions.

    Where are my inputs processed?

GPM to LPM Converter runs in this browser. Inputs are not uploaded to a calculation server; copying and CSV download require your action. The existing site analytics and advertising still load.
