GEO brand audits: model answers followed by public-source checks

Customers increasingly encounter generative answers when finding suppliers or comparing brands. Generative Engine Optimization concerns how brands and content are understood and cited. This tool records Gemini API answers without search and separately samples public material using a defined question panel to examine identity, industry mentions, decision information and reputation leads.

Brand research needs more than an unexplained score. See actual questions, original answers, model and time, plus failures, unknowns and source coverage. Read industry discovery and direct brand questions separately: a named brand appearing in a direct question does not establish visibility in unbranded industry recommendations.

Use independent sources to find website and B2B content gaps

Review clarity and consistency of names, company information, product uses, specifications, selection guides and FAQs in independently sampled website material. Check news identity, date and context separately. These are not search citations for model answers or consumer AI search performance. Turn specific gaps into practical content tasks.

Languages and markets can produce different results for B2B brands. Specify the market and output language and keep a consistent question panel before comparing changes. One sample provides no search volume, global ranking or guaranteed recommendation; use verifiable content and continued observation.

Verify reputation leads and preserve weekly comparison methods

Negative words, complaints and risk claims require checks for identity, age, namesakes and indirect reporting. Only relevant independent source passages can support review signals. Sources and verification actions remain visible; model inference does not become fact or a legal finding.

The public experience runs once on request. Paid console monitoring saves settings and panels, generates scheduled reports and sends alerts only after channels are explicitly configured. Weekly comparisons should identify model and panel versions and separate finding changes from coverage changes. Review sources before responding or editing content.

What does the GEO brand audit check?

GEO is Generative Engine Optimization. The tool records Gemini answers to fixed questions without search, then separately samples available website and public news material for content gaps and reputation leads. Sources and coverage remain separate. Snapshots are not consumer Gemini search results, all AI platforms or complete reputation coverage.

Does it check ChatGPT, Perplexity or every AI platform?

No. Snapshots use the stated Gemini API model without live search. They do not represent consumer Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity or other platforms. The report retains model, time, panel and completion; it cannot establish a global AI ranking.

Is brand mention rate market share?

No. It describes successful unbranded industry answers in this sample mentioning your brand or aliases. It is not search volume, ranking, market share or a sales forecast. Failed questions are not non-mentions. Interpret branded and unbranded questions separately.

Why add industry and target market?

Names can refer to different companies. Industry, market and an optional website help define the subject. A submitted website supports limited public sampling and identity matching, not proof of ownership or qualifications. Use accurate names and aliases to avoid confusing another company's reputation with yours.

Are AI research questions visible?

Yes. Review question types before submission and actual questions, statuses and original answers afterward. The panel is part of the sample. Compare weekly runs using consistent panels, models and settings; explicitly mark changes so method changes are not mistaken for growth.

Are collected public sources verified facts?

No. Websites may contain self-description, and news may consist of reports, reposts or headlines with limited coverage. Read sampled material, links and status separately from AI answers. Verifiable original passages may support risk leads; source counts do not establish trustworthiness.

What happens when a negative signal appears?

It is marked for review with source text and verification advice. Unsupported model claims cannot become alert evidence. Results do not establish illegality, fraud, product quality or liability. Verify identity, dates, reposts and context before deciding on a response.

Does no negative signal mean no negative reputation?

No. Limited public material may miss information; missing news and failed reads are insufficient evidence. No finding means this sample did not return qualifying signals, not that the whole web is clear. Model sampling and source coverage are shown separately.

How do the public experience and paid weekly reports differ?

The public tool runs once and temporarily stores results for retrieval. Paid monitoring saves configurations, repeatedly uses the same panel, generates weekly trends and sends review signals only to explicitly configured channels. The public tool does not subscribe or notify automatically.

Are brand details saved? Can I export reports?

The page does not automatically save drafts or use local storage. Starting an audit sends brand name, aliases, website, industry, market, competitors and reference pages to the server and Google model service. Public sources are sampled separately within limits. Results are temporary; export JSON or Markdown promptly. Do not submit secrets, personal details or credentials.

How can I improve AI brand representation?

Start with clear, consistent brand identity and website information. Use observed gaps to improve product uses, selection, specifications, comparisons, FAQs and verifiable third-party material. Prioritize evidence, avoid fabricated reviews and do not promise AI recommendations. GEO needs ongoing review; one report guarantees no outcome.

AI brand visibility audit practical guide and common questions

What does an AI brand visibility audit do?

An AI brand audit examines actual model mentions, context and sources to identify information gaps, ambiguous names and signals worth investigating.

Who is this for, and when is it useful?

Brand and content teams planning material or reviewing AI answers over time.

How do I use this AI brand visibility audit?

Enter a brand and market, inspect the actual questions, answers and sources, and separate mentions from ambiguous or unverified signals.

How should I interpret the results?

Read each question, original answer and source. A single sample is not a trend; verify the entity, date and underlying facts before treating negative wording as an established event.

Where is the work performed, and which services receive data?

Our task service requests model answers and assembles separate public evidence. It does not read your personal ChatGPT or Doubao account. Console reports and alerts require separate configuration and activation.
