    Formula and method

m³/h = CFM × 1.699010796 CFM = m³/h × 0.588577779 Multiply by the source unit’s SI factor to get m³/s, then divide by the target unit’s SI factor.

    Worked example

    1,000 CFM × 1.699010796 = 1,699.011 m³/h.

    Assumptions and limits

    • Volumetric flow unit conversion only, with 1 ft = 0.3048 m exactly; no temperature, pressure or altitude correction.
    • Results show up to 3 decimals; Copy and CSV keep more digits.

    Frequently asked questions

How many m³/h are in 1 CFM?

    1 CFM = 1.699010796 m³/h. The factor follows from the SI definitions: 1 ft³ = (0.3048 m)³ = 0.028316846592 m³ and 1 h = 60 min.

How do I convert m³/h back to CFM?

Multiply by 0.588577779 (or divide by 1.699010796), or simply switch “From unit” to m³/h. For example 10 m³/h = 5.886 CFM.

Can I convert SCFM or ACFM with this?

Yes for the unit, but the basis stays the same: SCFM becomes standard m³/h (often written Nm³/h or Sm³/h — check which reference temperature and pressure the other side uses) and ACFM becomes actual m³/h. Converting between standard and actual needs a temperature and pressure correction, which this page does not apply.

What does CFM to m³/h Converter calculate?

Convert airflow from cubic feet per minute to m³/h, m³/min and L/s for fans, compressors and ventilation sizing. Conversion runs in your browser; factors are from NIST SP 811. m³/h = CFM × 1.699010796 CFM = m³/h × 0.588577779 Multiply by the source unit’s SI factor to get m³/s, then divide by the target unit’s SI factor.

    When is this useful?

    1,000 CFM × 1.699010796 = 1,699.011 m³/h.

How do I enter the inputs?

Enter the inputs for CFM to m³/h Converter: Value, From unit. Calculate, check the units and assumptions, then copy or download the results.

How should I interpret the results?

Volumetric flow unit conversion only, with 1 ft = 0.3048 m exactly; no temperature, pressure or altitude correction. Results show up to 3 decimals; Copy and CSV keep more digits.

    Where are my inputs processed?

CFM to m³/h Converter runs in this browser. Inputs are not uploaded to a calculation server; copying and CSV download require your action. The existing site analytics and advertising still load.
